What is KYC?
What is KYC?
KYC (Know Your Customer) is a verification process that helps businesses identify and verify the identity of their customers. It's a regulatory requirement in many countries to prevent fraud, money laundering, and other illegal activities.
Why is KYC Required?
Some local legislations in countries require KYC identification in order to sell telephony or mobile plan products to clients. Products that require KYC verification will be marked as "Requires KYC" and you will be prompted to provide personal information in order to be identified before being able to purchase these products.
Verification Process
When you provide your identification information, the ConnectPhone eSIM team will verify if the information is correct. This process might require additional steps of communication between our team and you to request additional information which might be missing or unclear in order to verify the correctness of the information that was provided as identification.
After Verification
Once the verification is complete by the ConnectPhone eSIM team, your user profile will be updated with "KYC identification verified" status. This ensures that you are aligned with all local laws and regulations, allowing you to purchase products that require KYC verification.
